What is it?

The Friday Bean Awards were created to celebrate the side of Etsy that rarely gets recognized.

While the official Etsy Design Awards often spotlight the most polished, high-end shops with massive studios, teams, and warehouse-style operations, that experience does not reflect the reality of most Etsy sellers. Most shop owners are building their businesses from spare bedrooms, kitchen tables, cluttered home offices, and tiny creative spaces, doing the best they can with the time, money, and resources they have.


The Friday Bean Awards are a community-driven celebration of the real Etsy seller experience, from beautiful product photos and unique niches to weird bestsellers, messy-but-efficient workspaces, and small shops that are clearly onto something special. It is meant to be fun, relatable, and full of heart while giving everyday sellers a chance to be seen, celebrated, and voted on by the community.

Messiest Yet Efficient Home Office

This award is for the seller whose workspace looks like complete chaos, but somehow still gets the job done. If your office is a disaster zone with a system only you understand, this one is for you.

Most Beautiful Home Office

This award celebrates the Etsy seller with the most beautiful, inspiring, or well-designed workspace. Show us the office that makes you want to sit down and create.

Weirdest “Best Seller”

Some items sell like crazy for reasons we may never understand. This award is for the shop whose strangest product somehow became the star of the show.

Most Beautiful Listing Photo

This award honors the seller with the most stunning product photography. If your listing photo makes people stop scrolling and stare, enter here.

Best in POD Shops

This award is for standout print-on-demand shops that are doing it right. We’re looking for strong branding, great presentation, and a clear sense of identity.

Best in Handmade Shops

This award celebrates exceptional handmade shops with strong products, presentation, and personality. Show us what makes your handmade business shine.

Best in Vintage Shops

This award is for vintage sellers with beautifully curated shops and a strong eye for presentation. If your vintage shop stands out from the crowd, we want to see it.

Best in Digital Shops

This award is for digital product sellers who have built a standout shop with strong branding, clear value, and polished presentation. If your digital shop is doing the most, enter it here.

Best in Supply Shops

This award celebrates the supply shops that serve makers, creators, and small business owners with style. Show us a supply shop that stands out in a sea of competition.

Most Unique Niche

This award is for the seller with a niche so specific, strange, or brilliant that it deserves a spotlight. If your shop serves a tiny corner of the internet in the best way possible, this one’s for you.

Barely Survivin’ Award

This award is for the shop bringing in sales despite having little to no branding. If your shop is out here making money while running purely on grit and coffee, step right up.

The “I Hate It” Award

This award is for the product that sells well, but drains your soul every time someone orders it. If you have a bestseller you cannot stand making, we need to meet it.

The “Under 10” Award

This award celebrates amazing shops with fewer than 10 sales. It’s for the sellers who are clearly onto something, even if they’re still early in the journey.

The Old-Timer Award

This award is for Etsy shops that have been around for over 10 years. If your shop has stood the test of time, this is your moment.

The Golden Granny Award

This award celebrates Etsy sellers over the age of 75 who are still out here building, creating, and selling. If that’s you, we would be honored to feature your shop.

Public voting begins on April 6th and will last for a total of 4 days.

Winners will be announced during the Friday Bean Seller's Choice Awards at 12pm EST.
